May of us are blessed with abundant wealth and resources, such that we can send our kids to school with all the supplies that they will need to be successful. Unfortunately, there are many communities in St. Louis that do not have this luxury. Many kids end up not going to school due to an inability to afford basic school supplies. The solution to this is simple provide school supplies for children who cannot afford them. That is where Project Down St. Louis comes in. We have been providing school supplies to needy families since This year in , Jennings school district is requesting 1, backpacks for their students. Project Down St. Louis has been able to attain competitive pricing for various back-to-school supplies. However, we are still in need of the following items 2 pencils, boxes of count crayons, spiral notebooks, pocket folders, loose-leaf paper, pencil bags, pens, highlighters, 3-ring binders, 3-hole pocket folders, composition notebooks, and pencil sharpeners.
