I have a fun Christmas in July project for you today! These sweet little Christmas Gift Card Mini Stockings are suuuuper fast to sew up and they are the perfect project to make up a few months ahead, just to have on hand! If you are anything like me, when it gets down to the wire and super close to Christmas, I tend to forget about little details like wrapping and cute packaging. You can pop your gift cards in a little stocking and have a creative and handmade way to give them. So much more fun. I made up two different sizes of the stockings just be increasing the seam allowance. The smaller version is great as a cash holder or you could use it for some sweet little earrings or something else tiny! Start by cutting out your fabric and fleece. Iron your fusible fleece to the wrong side of the outer fabric. Place the lining pieces right sides together and sew around them as well, but leave an opening in the bottom of the lining for turning later. Clip all your curves. Turn your lining fabric right side out. Place the lining inside the outer fabric and line up the top edges and seams. Make sure the toes are facing the same way too. Pull the lining out, then turn the entire stocking and lining right side out through the hole in the lining. Tuck the lining inside the stocking and press. Fold the top of the stocking over and press again. If you cut out a bunch at once, you can do an assembly line kind-of-thing, and make up several in just a short time! Join my Facebook Group!
