Participants will also receive information on healthy eating during the holidays to raise awareness of obesity. Covered California will provide information and help residents sign up for free or low-cost health insurance under the federal Affordable Care Act ACA. Dodger alumni Al Ferrara and Dennis Powell will be participating in the meal distribution and signing autographs. The event will include family-friendly activities including the Dodger pitching inflatable, Dodger giveaways and photos with the Dodger character. LADF partner Read Conmigo will be on hand to give away bilingual books to all children and Vision To Learn will be conducting free eye exams to all children. Additional turkey giveaway at Dodger Stadium for pre-selected families. Dodger Alumni League members Ron Cey and Eric Karros and Dodger broadcaster Charley Steiner will be on hand to help distribute a complimentary turkey, fixings and reusable canvas bags to 1, pre-selected families and not-for-profit community organizations who will in turn distribute them to Los Angeles-area families in need. The Dodgers look forward to giving turkey dinners to families every Thanksgiving. Each office selected organizations in its respective district to benefit.
